Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes let through water molecules to give 'purified water' and the waste water with the contaminants goes down your drain. The resulting 'purified' water has up to 99% of everything taken out - including all the good elements.

An RO system is recommended mainly for drinking water in coffee/espresso machines and for homes with hard tap water.

An ultraviolet (UV) water filter is an effective, reliable and safe way to destroy bad bacteria in your water. UV kills bacteria with a lamp which radiates ultraviolet.

As a general rule of thumb, any of our water filter cartridges should have a quarterly filter replacement period for systems in commercial use. This lifespan can be extended depending on you volume of usage. Consult our HTU water technician for this. When you experience a sudden loss of water pressure or change in taste, you definitely know that it's time to change them.

You must change UV lamps when your UV ballast indicates a red light. Our technicians will inspect your system during a service call.
